What a tiring day shopping with dad!
I had no idea how hard getting a 3 piece suit for dad was. Not even 2 hours into coaxing dad to try on shirts and jackets, we were already famished.
I was eager to try out the Zun Express by Eu Yan Sang. It’s a restaurant that i pass by countless of times but didn’t even notice it existed. Not till sis told us that the food there was actually not bad.
Oh, and pardon the blur photos taken from a lousy phone LOL.
Located right next to the Chinese herbs and medicine shop, Eu Yan Sang, the Zun Express provides a comfortable, relaxing and quiet place to dine. The lighting is dimmed and the small restaurant is spacious enough to provide privacy.
Conforming to Eu Yan Sang’s theme, the food here promotes health and it’s wonderfully not oily. Do not expect very heavy tasting food here.
The Sang Har Mee is not bad. The prawn is quite big and the ingredients definitely fresh.
I did not particularly like the Seafood Hor Fun. It’s actually Cantonese Mee with slices of abalone and prawns. But i find it rather overly bland to the point of tasteless.
The Lotus Leaf Rice is my favorite of the day. Not only is it not too oily, the ingredients comes in plenty and the glutinous rice is very tasty and piquant.
You know some times you feel that your mouth is so oily after eating gluttonous rice like this and after a few bites you can’t stand to have it anymore? Well, here i can eat the entire plate of Lotus Leaf Rice without feeling queasy.
I love the fact that there are also a variety of herbal and healthy drinks to choose from the menu.
We had Chrysanthemum, lemon and longan drink and apple cider with vinegar drink to help digestion.
Also on the menu are few types of herbal soups that looked really tempting. I have no doubt that it will be delicious. Next stop will be for the soup!
