Do you love eggs? I do! I’ll polish my plate in a jiffy if there are eggs.
Eggs are healthy and delicious and very versatile too. There are so many ways to cook an egg and each style taste uniquely good; you could boil it, fry it, scramble it, bake it, poach it or use it to make desserts or pastries. Any style you want, it doesn’t take a lot of hard work to prepare.
My favorite is poach egg but speaking from experience, poach eggs are not the easiest to make. There are a few tricks to it. So today i’m going to talk about how to poach an egg.
The first step is making sure you have everything you need at hand. It is important that you observe the timing else the poach egg would not turn out as expected.
You will need:
- Eggs
- About 1/4 cup vinegar
- Pan
- Water to create about a 3″depth
- Slotted spoon
-
Now we can start learning how to poach eggs.
1) Boil water in the pan. When the water starts boiling, add vinegar and swirl to mix.
2) Cracks eggs gently into the boiling water making sure you don’t crack the eggs too close together.
3) Put the lid on and turn of the fire and leave them for 3 minutes.
4) Open the lid and test the egg by gently poking the egg to check its texture (don’t burst them). They should be slightly runny and soft.
5) Pick up the eggs one by one with the slotted spoon and they are ready to be served.
Now you could run along and get your plate and spoon for a feast! ![]()
