Dakasi is probably in every corner of Guangzhou! Where ever we went we were bound to see a Dakasi stall or shop. It’s a huge favorite of the sister’s boyfriend; i lost count of how many he consumed within the 3 days we were in Guangzhou.
Dakasi originates from Taiwan but it’s really popular in Guangzhou which is not surprising given the wide selections of flavors to choose from. They have chocolate flavored milk tea, honey dew flavored, oreo cookie flavored and etc. They even have Peanut Milk Tea! Can you imagine peanut flavored milk tea?! You can’t accuse them of being boring that is for sure.
Personally i’m a little bit lactose intolerant and Dakasi is really extremely milky as compared to the milk tea we have back home, so i only had few sips. I loved it nonetheless because the bubble pearl milk tea was really smooth, fragrant and frothy.
The drinks are a lot cheaper too, averaging at ¥7 – ¥10 only for a standard drink.
