The restaurant is getting more and more crowded each time i went there. It’s really difficult getting a table. No doubt thanks to their loyal patrons and also new customers since the food there is really great. But i wish that the service could better or at least the service standard should be maintained and not get worst.

Hanabi sushi - foie gras on smoked tuna

Boyfriend and i brought my family there for a treat during the holidays. But we waited for more than half an hour for the food to arrive. Worst is that the dishes came one at a time with like 20mins difference. So by the time the next dish came, the others was done eating the present one.

Then they got our order mixed up and gave one of our order to another table. we waited an hour for the beef teppanyaki set. Frustrating or not?! The called the waiter to ask about the dish but he lied to us saying it’s on the way. He should have told us they got it wrong so we could at least cancel the order and be on our way.

Mix sushi

We were so pissed when the girl finally came with the set but instead of heading to our table she went to our next table. She asked us loudly from that table whether we still want the order. Of course we said no! She already half gave it to the next table. What kind of service is that?!

Lady’s set

In the end we settled our bill and after a word or two with the staff we got a 10% discount. The bill came up to about RM260 (lady’s set, hanabi sushi, mix sushi set, unagi teppanyaki set, beef teppanyaki set and cheese hotatei) But they forgot to give us the voucher (You get RM10 voucher for each RM100 spent). Sigh…

To be fair, the food was good as usual. We would have ordered more things if this hasn’t turned out to be a disaster. We were afraid to be kept waiting for another hour.

I would recommend those who are thinking of a visit to make a reservation first and preferably on a weekdays. They run out of stuff very quickly too on weekends - we wanted sea urchin and the lotus dish but both was out of stock already.
