It was the night we were meant to attend the Preservation Hall Jazz Band at MPO. The seating was to commence at 8.15pm but we arrived at KLCC a little late and worse without having dinner yet. Fortunately the food came quickly at Nippon Tei that day as compared to the last time we were there and had to wait for at least half an hour to arrive.
Nippon Tei is a cozy place for Japanese meal but the selection of sushi is not much. Most of the option on the menu are teriyaki and tepanyaki bento sets.
Of the few choice of sushi and rolls we placed order on the Rainbow Roll which turned out to be quite delicious. The sushi roll are wrapped with colorful fresh ingredients like avacodo, beef, salmon, prawn and squid sashimi and it tasted great.
Other than the roll, the salmon teppanyaki set and seafood teppanyaki set we had was quite good too although i must say that the portion is really too big for us.
As for the seafood set, it’s actually only salmon and the 2 large prawns which Mr. Bf testified to be exceptionally delicious.
One regret is that although the food is good, the price is actually quite high for this standard of Japanese food. I could definitely get similar or even better meal somewhere else for a cheaper price.
Not a place to visit very often.
Teppanyaki Seafood Set – RM35.00
Teppanyaki Salmon Set – RM28.00
Rainbow Roll – RM26.00
Total: RM102.35 (RM89.00 + RM13.35 service and tax)
