I really have no idea why Yuen Buffet Steamboat is still so crowded. It wasn’t my idea of going to this steamboat restaurant because fighting for chicken wings is not my kind of thing but it was the birthday girl’s request.

Fortunately we had made an early reservation. Judging from the long queue outside of the restaurant and from the crowd inside, we would have to wait another hour. Yup, despite all these years, the restaurant still receive many patrons.
Tom yam and Chicken Broth
The steamboat is just like any other steamboat in town but it’s buffet style which is kind of useless to most of us too coz we can’t eat that much anyway. Haha. The fish ball, escargot and other ingredient is quite fresh but the place is so noisy we had to shout at each other to get heard. Not really a place to catch up with friends.
Chicken wing
After watching so many video clips of people fighting for the famous chicken wings in this restaurant, i’m a bit put off actually. The marinated chicken wing isn’t really that tasty, it’s just heavily coated with marinate. I had better at the steamboat restaurant in Kepong. Why is it so famous puzzles me.
The meal cost RM174.70 for 8 person.
