Yes, Bangkok is a wonderful city. Yes, it’s a shopping paradise. And double yes, it’s a place full of gastronomical eats. Yes, yes, yes!

My fav is the coconut ice cream and roasted pork. They don’t make roasted pork as crunchy and mouth-watering here in Malaysia. It’s really just too bad. I would have become their most loyal customer.

There are many choices of restaurant and stalls when it comes to food in Bangkok. But for me the best place for really delicious food are road side stalls at night. As it happens we were on our way back from Pat Pong night market when we came across a few food stalls at the side of the road. The stalls were selling variety of noodles and rice and smelled appetizingly tempting.

Even though it’s just a street stall, the customer service was excellent. I guess it’s just Thai hospitality. They even helped us organized our shopping bags so that we could have our meal comfortably. :)

Dad had the seafood rice which was awesome. I loved the squid which was superb. But my favorite has got to be the oyster omelet. We had those the previous day in a restaurant which was also delicious but the ones here are absolutely heavenly. Once you tried it you’ll get addicted!

The pork ball noodle was equally great.

We washed it down with ice cold pepsi. I love it that they served it in a tin cup. It maintain the coldness od the drink and believe it or not, it taste a lot better.
