Little Taiwan, Avenue K

I only have 2 words to describe the food in Little Taiwan, Avenue K, that is “Bad” and “Yuck!”. It’s harsh but i can’t help it. The food is that bad.

I’ve been to their other branch in Mid Valley and i recalled that the food was decent and i their pearl milk tea was one of my all time favorite. However, this new branch at Avenue K was such a disappointment. They even ran out of pearls for the milk tea and it was only during early lunch hour!

First of all the Taiwanese snack (Taiwanese Salted Chili Chicken) that we ordered tasted really bad. The pieces of fried chicken were all soggy. It has obviously been lying in the kitchen for a while waiting to be re-fried. It wasn’t even spicy -_-”.

The Spicy Hot Ramen on the other hand was too spicy. I think they dumped the whole bottle of chili in there. Plus it tasted really weird. There are corns in the noodle but the soup has a distinct raw corn taste. Yuck.

The worst is the Braised Beef Noodle. And i thought i can’t go wrong by having braised beef noodle at a Taiwanese shop, coz it is one of Taiwanese signature dishes right? Nope i was wrong.

The stew was terribly diluted with a weird beef taste. The beef came in huge pieces as if they didn’t bothered to cut it into smaller edible pieces. It was really hard to chew and hard to stomach. Nightmare!

Despite the good service, this is a place i’m going to stir clear off. Free wi-fi or not, i’m not returning ever.

Braised Beef Noodle - RM11.90
Taiwanese Salted Chili Chicken - RM8.80
Red Pearl Milk Tea - RM5.90

Total: RM46.65 (RM42.40 + RM4.24 service)

    1. I’ve tried their Sg Wang branch, quite nice~~

    2. Best Taiwanese Braised Noodle is in Ampang Point. Previously it was located inside Ampang Point itself, but now has expanded to a corner shop lot just opposite Ampang Point’s shopping complex itself, just opposite the car park area.

    3. I love taiwanese food, and am looking for a good one. Thought this one must be good since it is in your blog. Ha! Will not go there after reading it. If you find any good taiwanese restaurant, please do update.
      Thanks!
