I’ve visited the branch in KLCC a few times and i loved the food there. Everything was pretty good at that branch; you can smell the delicious aroma of asam laksa and curry from far away. I’ve not been to KLCC for ages now. Is it (LPC) still there?
I’ve visited LPC at the Curve few times before this too and it was alright. However, this time around i left the shop disappointed.
When i stepped into the cafe, there was no lingering smell of good ol’ Nyonya food. The food we ordered came very quickly but it’s not as tasty. The asam laksa wasn’t as good as i remembered. Few pieces of sardine in the asam laksa tasted and smelled kind of fishy (hanyir).
The acar fish set was alright. I enjoyed the acar fish which is fried fish steeped in pickle sauce, garnished with fried ginger and garlic. Sweet and sour at the same time.
The Pai Tee was not crispy and is obviously not fresh. I think maybe it’s refrigerated from the day before and simply re-steamed before serving to us. It was the worst pai tee i’ve ever had
I don’t think i’ll ever come to this branch again. The standard had obviously went down.
Asam Laksa – RM9.80
Pai Tee – RM8.00
Acar Fish Set – RM13.50
Chinese Tea (x2) – RM2.40
Total: RM38.75 (RM33.70 + RM3.37 = service + RM1.69 = Tax)

I thought pai tee is fried food? (I mean the hat shape holder) Why steam?
Drop in quality? Pre-prepared dishes? Sigh.
mimid3vils>> i think they fried it the day before then put in steamer to heat it again before serving. yucks!
simon>> yeah… sad right
