After googling for a decent place to enjoy Japanese cuisine, we head on to Sri Hartamas. Hartamas Shopping Centre is the place we routinely go nowadays to avoid the traffic and crowd. Love the place because of the many, many good eateries and because it’s not packed with people most of the time.
Izakaya Ichiban is actually located at Hartamas Shopping Centre. At ground floor, near Starbucks and Bagel Station. The place is chic and comfortable. We were immediately seated although i must say it is best to make reservation like the many other patrons. The place could be really full during weekends.
The saba appetizer was delicious.
Because we were so dead hungry, we didn’t find out the popular dishes from the food blog that we read. We just took the address and sped to Hartamas. -_-”.
We just ordered whatever that looked good on the menu. The Hokkaido Roll was excellent. It’s a little expensive but totally worth it. It’s actually salmon roll with salmon roe and sea urchin. That explains the price.
However, i think the Wagyu Sukiyaki Set is a bit too expensive. It taste alright. Nothing special. Just like any other hot pot. Made me miss Nagomi Shabu Shabu so much.
Hokkaido Roll – RM35.00
Wagyu Sukiyaki Set – RM45.00
Total: RM88.00 (RM80.00 + RM8.00 – service)
