Restoran Bamboo Park was previously a Hongkie concept restaurant (ming ge chan ting) similar to Station One. However, it’s offering fish head steamboat or noodle and Shanxi noodles instead. Maybe the previous management went bankrupt. I don’t know.
The Fish Head Mee Hoon, was alright but i had better ones. The soup is not milky enough for my liking. Plus the fish is not smooth.
Bamboo Park also serves sliced noodle. Sliced noodle originates from Shanxi, China. The noodle is hand sliced using knifes which result in willow leaf shape noodle with thin edges. However, i must say i did not really enjoy this dish. Although it taste ok, i find the soup a little bit too oily and the gravy is too little. Oh, well. It smelled better than it taste.
Another disappointment is the fried dumpling. The skin is not fresh. I had a feeling that it was re-fried.
Fried Dumpling – RM8.00
Fish Head Mee Hoon – RM6.80
Shanxi Sliced Noodle with Minced Pork – RM4.50
Jasmine Tea – RM4.50
Sky Juice – RM0.60
Total – RM25.62 (RM24.40 + RM1.22 – service charge)
