Kah Hing Restaurant at Sri Sinar
The place is packed even on weekdays. I have no idea why but this restaurant seems to have its magic on aunties *wakaka! There are few table sitted with aunties having a blast when i was there.
I find the food there pretty good but the menu is quite Asian-ised. It’s a fusion of Vietnamese dishes with a taste of Asian style. I was surprised to see there is curry noodle on the menu.
The noodles are pretty good since they are using the rice noodles that Vietnam is famous for. The noodle is really smooth and the portion is large. I must say that the curry was thicker than what we could find anywhere else.
The ‘Mah Lat’ Chili Noodle is so-so. Very spicy but i find that the chili powder taste is over-empowering.
I liked the dry ‘kuey tiau’ noodle the best. It’s like ‘pan mee’ but with rice noodle as substitute. It’s smooth and sweet but bit oily.
Also the restaurant have Vietnamese coffee available (hot or cold). I urge you to try it (especially the hot drip coffee) coz the coffee is extremely good! Very ‘kao’. However, they tend to put too much cream/milk so it’ll be too sweet. So, do ask for less-sweet version.
Everything (2 curry noodle + 1 mah lat noodle + 1 dry kuey tiau + 1 ice coffee + 3 barley ice) accumulated to only RM21.70. I would say that’s pretty cheap.
Overall, i think it’s a good deal. The food was not superb but it’s good.
