Hoo Yee Kee Food Stall

This food stall is located at ‘wai sek kai’ Kepong Baru, nearby the Church of Jesus Caritas. Among the many food stalls by this road side, this one stands out because of it’s corny name which is Hoo Yee Kee *in Cantonese this means ‘easy to remember’ wakakaka!

Hoo Yee Kee so its easy to remember like 123

Hoo Yee Kee is famous for it’s lam mee and prawn noodle. That’s what we ordered.

The shop is very yellow. Chair yellow. Staff uniform also yellow. Sign-age also yellow. Easy to remember also..

I have to admit the prawn noodle was one of the best i had so far. Very thick and aromatic. Served with prawns *abo then? and loads of clams or la la, you can really taste the oomph of it! If i’m not mistaken this only cost RM6.70.

The lam mee was equally tasty. The is the gravy/soup thick and smooth. At the price of RM4.00 per bowl, there’s nothing to complain about.

As you know noodles are very filling and the portion here is just right to fill the tummy. Really not a bad place for some cheap and tasty noodles.
