This has gotta be my worst dim sum experience ever. We drove to Jalan Ipoh for some dim sum for breakfast. The Meeboh Dim Sum shop was packed so we took seats at the restaurant next door coz EatAllYouCanShung told me there was a big big sign saying it’s a dim sum restaurant… *are you sure?? You’re getting old… Anyway, after looking at the photo again, i can’t see any ‘dim sum’ word. Maybe it’s in Chinese. Is there?? I’m a pure bred b.a.n.a.n.a. I can’t read Chinese. Go figure.

Tin Hoe what?

We found out that it was not a dim sum restaurant after all but it was too late coz we already sat down and ordered our drinks. It’s something like a food court where varieties of food like chicken rice, beef noodle and char siu rice. There was just a small dim sum stall at the front.

Nevertheless, i think it is not an excuse for the poor service. The place was streaming with workers doing i don’t know what. Everyone seems to be everywhere but still we couldn’t get someone to serve us some dim sum.

Dim Sum hero

This foreign worker was taking care of 2 stalls. The dim sum and also as the bread vendor. Talk about multitasking! He was the only one steaming up the dim sum, serving customers and also selling paus and bread. *so poor meh only one worker -_-”

Boy don’t steal paus ok!

What was worst is that they only have four types of dim sums to choose from. Just four! We waited bout 1/2 hour to get served four types of pathetic dim sum!

Most expensive dim sum…crazy

We were seriously in such a bad mood, in the end we only took 2 dishes. Then we waited quite sometime again coz we can’t seem to get someone to bill us… Guess how much did we spent there?

An outrageous RM15! Just for 2 glasses of leong char and 4 pieces of dim sum! That’s RM3.90 for each tray and RM3.60 for each drink… WTF??!!!

It’s back to Fu Lai Kepong (in my opinion is the best) for dim sum from now on. At Fu Lai, we have the best service and the yummy dim sum only cost RM2.60 each tray.
